COOPER LAKE—SOUTH SULPHUR UNIT STATE PARK

Both the Bright Star and Deer Haven camping areas have spots for you. In Bright Star, back-ins #8, 18, 21 & 41 and pull-thrus #15, 29 & 30 (the latter two being 100 footers). In Deer Haven, back-ins #51, 62 & 81 and pull-thru #48 (almost 90 feet). Water and 30 amp only. Good dump station, no laundry. Busy in the summer. Paved streets and sites. On the main road you may have to move to the left to avoid a small tree branch, but we don’t believe this to be a problem. Additional phone numbers 512-389-8900.
DIRECTIONS: On I-30, Exit #122 and head north on Hwy 19/154 for 12 miles to FM-71. Take a left and motor down 4-1/4 miles to FM 3505. Turn right and you’ll dead end into the park.
