CUSTER’S GULCH RV PARK (CUSTER)

Back in 1874 General Custer set up camp here on this property and now you can also with a few more comforts. You will be just three miles from Custer and a short distance from Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse. Expect to find mostly open sites with good elbow room. Sites #41 and 42 are 90 feet while #43 & 44 are over 100 feet. Semi-circle spaces #60, 61 & 62 are 80 footers or select #59 at 60 feet. The following sites are back-ins but consider pulling in to #14 - 70 feet. In the 65-75 foot range are #3, 13, 38, 39 & 40 while #25 thru 29 are roughly 60 feet. Set amongst the aspen trees are #19, 20 & 21. Back-in sites ranging from 75 to 85 feet are #31 and 46 thru 52 while #34 and 53 thru 56 run 65-70 feet. FF: #31, 34, 38, 39, 41, 42, 43, 46 thru 56, 60, 61 & 62. Wi-Fi. You bike riders and walkers have a very short distance to peddle or walk to the paved 105 mile trail adjacent to the park. Propane, ATV rentals and for your non-rving friends one 800 square foot two bedroom cabin and two single cabins...call for details. Open 5/15 - 10/31, weather permitting.
DIRECTIONS: In Custer at the intersection of Hwys 385/16/16A, head east on Hwy 16A three miles to the park on the right (when you see the red barn on the right begin slowing down for your turn just after the top of the hill).
