MAMA GERTIE’S HIDEAWAY CAMPGROUND (SWANNANAOA)

Nice park with beautiful views available from several sites.  This park is definitely in the mountains, so be prepared for roads that have some turns and hills, but that is what you wanted to see in this area anyway- right? No late check-in after dark.   Take your time and ask questions while checking in to be sure you understand the driving route within the park to get to your site.  There are some roads that will be hard to get out off if you mistakenly go down them.  We recommend sites #27- 31 that are in the 60 foot range, #33 is 75 feet. Swing wide when making the turn passed the office. Wi-Fi. Paved Streets.

  DIRECTIONS: From I-40 take Exit #59 and head south on Patten Cove Road about ½ mile to Uphill Road and turn left. After about 1/10 of a mile you will see the campground on the left.
