How To Use Big Rigs Best Bets

All of the parks listed can accommodate a 40 foot coach with a tow and you will have adequate swing room. We have personally visited these parks and evaluated the individual sites which are suitable. Consequently you will have specific site numbers to ask for or reserve. You will note that individual specific site lengths are listed for your reference. If you are shorter than 40 feet, there may be more sites available. If you are over 40 feet, we have further defined the sites which can handle a forty-five foot coach with tow. Those site numbers are listed after

FF:

(as in forty-five footer). As we all know, turning radius of your rig and driving skills play an important role in your maneuverability. We encourage you to swing wide.

With our ON-LINE version you may maneuver your mouse around the maps and click on the pins to find out more information about the resorts in the areas of your interest.  You may also use the map to obtain Google directions to those parks that you want to visit, but don’t forget that those directions should be compared to the directions in our listings to confirm that you are traveling on the most Big Rig friendly trail.

Please keep in mind the following:

We have included physical addresses for GPS users. When a park owner advises most GPS programming will lead you astray at their facility, we tell you so.
Every site listed is a pull-thru unless we state it is a back-in or pull-in.
Every site listed is 50 amp unless we state it is 30 amp or less
Every site listed is FHU unless we state there is no sewer or if it is “water and electric only”.
The stated length of the pull-thru is from the site entrance road to the site exit road.
The length of a back-in or pull-in is the length you have to drive your rig on. Chances are you will have additional room to the front and/or rear of your rig.
When park streets or sites are paved we tell you so.
Assume all parks have a laundry unless we tell you they do not.
When we state “sites are in opposite direction” you may have a rig on your driver’s side facing the opposite direction.
When we state “close neighbor possible” you may have one if the park is busy. Typically this occurs when one or both of you have slides and the site widths are under 25 feet.
Wi-Fi is available at the vast majority of parks.
The number after each city designates the approximate location on the state map.
When we refer to a specific direction, i.e. “west” or “south”, it is not necessarily a true compass heading. This is especially true when exiting an interstate.
Don’t overlook the Selected Diesel Fuel Stops section – 720 of them with adequate maneuverability.
We believe any of the 340 establishments in the Restaurant Tip section will be a satisfying experience.
