Your trade off is a short walk to the beach on Grand Traverse Bay and the potential of a campfire at night. Back-in sites #12 & 30 - 55 feet, #14 & 33 - 60 feet, #16 & 19 - 65 feet, #20 & 21 - 75 feet and #18 - 80 feet. In site #5 if you feel comfortable navigating a tree you will be rewarded with the sound of the surf and a view of the lake. Pull-ins (or you may back-in) to consider are #7, 23, 24, 27 & 29. Paved streets, gravel sites. No laundry. No credit cards. Open 5/15 to 10/15. Busy during July and August. No reservations. Unhook and pick your spot.

DIRECTIONS: North on Hwy 31 you will go through Elk Rapids. After about 13 miles you will go through Torch Lake Village (don’t blink). Proceed another 2-2/3 miles to the Eastport City Limit sign. Shortly thereafter you will turn left onto the entrance road. Hwy 88 will be to your right. You will dead end into the park about 1-1/4 miles down. When stopping at the small office, stay on the main park road as opposed to pulling in next to the office.

A natural setting overlooking Lake Superior with two miles of sandy beach. Unfortunately there are just a few spots for you. Sites #86 & 87 are 50 foot pull-ins while #37 & 38 are 40 foot back-ins but spacious enough for you to park diagonally. You may pull-in or back into #26 which is 60 feet and consider doing the same at 48 footers #24 & 30. Sites #75, 76, 77, 98 & 99 are in the 45 - 50 foot range and provide a lake view out the windshield, however you will have an interior park road in front of you.
